Artificial Intelligence Future

It is the humans who do the forecasting of artificial intelligence future. Still, it is unrealistic for artificial intelligence agents to think of their own future. I’m sure that giving the ability to the robots to think of their future is one of the future plans of the field of AI (artificial Intelligence).

One of the primary areas under the spotlight for artificial intelligence future is natural language processing and words speech recognition. Speech recognition is not an foreign subject for us as it has been around for sometime. Even the word processor that I’m writing this article, Microsoft Word 2007, has built-in ability to understand and write what I say. According to the leading scientists, the developments in speech recognition will level the humans with in next 10 years. Under the programs already started for artificial intelligence future, the robots and computers will be able to communicate with the man through natural languages.

When it comes to artificial intelligence future, machine learning has become one of the primary areas where the scientists are positive about. With the developments of machine learning, the machines are expected to analyze and understand things by their own, so they can be adapted to any foreign environment. Take sending robots to Mars as an example. Once the machine larning has become a success, the robots that will be sent Mars will be able to learn the environment without any external help. Then, the scientific analysis will be done by the robots and will send the results back to Earth.

From the beginning of the field of AI, human brain simulation and producing a silicon brain have been two fantasies of the AI scientists. if this objective is achieved, the artificial intelligence future will be the best achiever of all. If everything becomes a success as planned, the software and systems can be connected to artificial brains, so the entire system becomes intelligent.

Simulating human behaviors is the primary target of the artificial intelligence future. This means that machines in the future need to acquire human awareness up to some degree. When it comes to AI systems, the self awareness is what the scientists are trying to implement in the machines. Currently, there are AI system exist that do not have the self awareness factor.

In parallel to the improvements of the study of artificial intelligence future, the improvements for the supporting hardware have also become a priority.If the hardware layer is not capable of supporting software systems with tillions of calculations in a second, there won’t be any bright artificial intelligence future. Therefore, the companies such as IBM are keen in producing the next generation computers with extreme multi-processing capability for supporting artificial intelligence future.
